The Principles of LIFE of a Pastor

In the first week of April, the 41st graduation rites of our grade six pupils needed a spiritual speaker for their Baccalaureate Service. I have no the other name in my mind to recommend but Pastor Claridad. I contacted him right away through SMS from my cell phone. He verified the date and confirmed it that he is available.

Rev. Pastor Leo Claridad is my fellow columnist in Negros Bulletin, a weekly vigilant newspaper in Western Visayas. I read his column, “From a Distance”. When the newspaper became daily, he got a new column, “Gentle Whisper” And mine is "Vibrations". Thus, we had been working together in the Negros Daily Bulletin for 25 years.

Aside from such column titles he used, he also used Gypsy moth in his social media. And he has changed it recently to Le Clear y Galvan.

What he writes in his column is his spiritual insights and its application to the people’s lives. Now he is on and off in the newspaper for he is assigned to Panay Island, particular in Lay-ahan Evangelical Church, Pototan, Iloilo as a Parish Minister.

'Life Isn't Worth a Cent in the Philippines'

by Ray Alan T. Drilon

(This is a personal sentiment and actual observation of Judge Ray Alan Drilon, Presiding Judge of Regional Trial Court-Branch 41, Bacolod City in his Facebook Timeline, dated November 15, 2016 on what is happening in the Philippines after the 100 days of actual governance of President Rody Duterte. Judge Drilon has given the blog admin/owner the permission to repost it here.)

Life isn’t worth a cent now in this country. Almost every day we hear, read and see news of bloody police killings. Media isn’t effective in publicizing this atrocity. They banner and splash the images of dead bodies sprawled in the streets, and the body count keeps piling up. They are everywhere even in the social media, and people share footage of the stiffened bodies of men and women whose blood spilled the streets, victims of this unconscionable violence.

But the conscience seemed numb. There is the insidious, growing, social insensitivity. Nobody really cares about the dead low lifes, the addicts, pushers, or druggies, even the obscure, helpless, collateral victims being mercilessly killed in so called police operations, except their grieving families.

Carissa's Day

Today marks the 22nd birthday of Ma. Carissa Trenuela-Camporazo Inday Carissa as we fondly call her is the wife of our youngest son, Gilbor Camporazo, Jr.

Ma. Carissa T. Camporazo
Carissa
She had been married to our youngest son to Cebu Philippines Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She is a woman whose affections are enthusiastic and expansive. She does her best in a relationship where she can have plenty of space to roam free and explore unknown territories.

She has a sense of being philosophical. She has her own outlook in life to treat any trials and challenges as an opportunities to prove her worth. She is optimistic. For being a such, she tries her luck on some business which she believes could make her successful and be able to help her own family.

Every Tree Planted, Life Is Saved

ALS IM Camporazo planting a tree
Every tree planted, grown and survived provides a great chance for every mankind to survive and even to live a bit longer.

This principle has prompted the Alternative Learning System (ALS) mobile teacher, Ms. Corazon Aloro to organize and lead the ALS participants who were composed of the learners with their respective instructional managers IMs). She facilitated the provision of the streamer and the rest of the planting materials needed for the tree planting activity by coordinating with the local Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).

Every participant has to bring his or her own food provisions and reserved drinking water for a long walk going uphill to the area for tree planting. It weather at that time was very cooperative. It was a sunny day, though it rained heavily last night.

Making Opportunity Works

YOU are the OPPORTUNITY. Right in your own very hand is your DESTINY. You may want what you want to be of yourself. YOU may make or unmake YOURSELF. It's your WILL, VOLITION to do it of what you desire.

finger-pointing
How to do it? You may consider the following suggestion of making OPPORTUNITY workable and effective by taking every corresponding LETTER of it, thus:

1. Obey what your mind or conscience dictates.
2. Prepare every needful thing.
3. Pay for whatever things you need or be ready to sacrifice.
4. Overhaul plans that failed.
5. Repeat your undertakings in a different way.
6. Try again in case you failed.
7. Undaunted, strong and firm attitude is utter importance.
8. Never hesitate to ask for help. You’re not perfect.
9. Improve yourself by learning new skills. Best things are yet to be discovered
10. Time-consciousness narrows down your vision to realization.
11. Yield to the promptings of the Spirit or pray unceasingly. It’s God who provides everything.

They are simple. Aren't they? Contemplate on them.

PH RH Bill Endangers Life and Family?

RH BILL Poster Fr. Peter West's RH Bill a Treat to Life and Family in the Philippines pointed out the practical possibilities why Reproductive Health (RH) Bill is so:

"The bill was not written by Filipinos for Filipinos, but by international population control groups in secret."

"The RH Bill is a threat to religious liberty. It forces medical professionals and businesses to promote and perform a full range of “reproductive health services,” against their consciences."

"It mandates immoral Planned Parenthood-style sex education courses starting in the fifth grade, establishes population officers to pressure poor women to have fewer children and requires couples to undergo RH training with certification before they can obtain marriage license."
