The Guilt Feeling After Helping a Woman

“It is more blessed to give than to receive.”(Acts 20:35, KJV) keeps reverberating in my conscious mind for I am a person who has the tendency to be helpful and generous. When I help or extend anything, I never expect something in return.  I don't understand this kind of feeling. It's however in one occasion my conscience won’t let me sleep soundly for the thing I have done to a poor woman. I feel like I am guilty because of her unexpected reaction.

The Poor and the Needy

I remember when I was a grader I happened to see a poor person who only lives by cutting hair. His clothes are worn out and he is too skinny. My mother was surprised to learn why I was worrying that something unusual happened to me while I was in school. I hugged my mother while crying and mumbling words that I really pitied that person.

I told her everything and she comforted me not to worry about that kind of person should be taken care by the government or by their own family and they won’t be allowed to wander in the street begging for money or for something to eat. “Someday when you will be successful, don’t forget to help those poor and the needy,” inspired my mother.

When Is Justice Just? Why Losing Job Worth Remembering?

Animals like humans have also the right to live. They should be taken care of, fed well, and have a roof to take shelter of. But in our place, it is disgusting to see animals especially cats and dogs which are maltreated. If those culprits are being reported to the agency concerned, no one is giving it attention. Whose fault is that?

Justice in the Philippine is seemed to be elusive. Well, it is because the justice icon or symbol is blindfolded and "she" sees nothing but she could hear; she could feel; she could think of what is right and proper. Conscience may dictate her what is right but it is not the basis of justice system so to speak. Therefore, when could the justice be considered as just? And when is justice unjust?

So much with the inhumane treatment of animals, with justice of injustice in one's country. Let;s talk about the job which provides bread and butter for a family. Losing a job is a painful and stressful fate for the head of the family to have. Is it worth remembering how a father or a mother lost his/her job?

Making Opportunity Works

YOU are the OPPORTUNITY. Right in your own very hand is your DESTINY. You may want what you want to be of yourself. YOU may make or unmake YOURSELF. It's your WILL, VOLITION to do it of what you desire.

finger-pointing
How to do it? You may consider the following suggestion of making OPPORTUNITY workable and effective by taking every corresponding LETTER of it, thus:

1. Obey what your mind or conscience dictates.
2. Prepare every needful thing.
3. Pay for whatever things you need or be ready to sacrifice.
4. Overhaul plans that failed.
5. Repeat your undertakings in a different way.
6. Try again in case you failed.
7. Undaunted, strong and firm attitude is utter importance.
8. Never hesitate to ask for help. You’re not perfect.
9. Improve yourself by learning new skills. Best things are yet to be discovered
10. Time-consciousness narrows down your vision to realization.
11. Yield to the promptings of the Spirit or pray unceasingly. It’s God who provides everything.

They are simple. Aren't they? Contemplate on them.
