'Nothing Compares to Serving a Mission'

Seeing a son leaving for a mission is very tough to bear for a father, especially if that son is assigned to the other part of the world. Nevertheless it is the amazing day! Blessings are innumerable. There is no reason to procrastinate it. It takes a lot of sacrifice.

Father hugs tightly his leaving son for a mission Elder Minson is tightly hugged by his caring pa. Fulfilling this mission takes a lot of sacrifices of financial matters, staying away from a loved ones for 2 years, giving up studies, and bearing the language barriers, among others.

The members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are doing their best to build a city of Zion here on earth again. They have three-fold missions: to proclaim the gospel, to perfect the saints, and to redeem the dead.

Missionary work falls on the first mission, that is, proclaiming the gospel to every kindred, tongue and nations. Our youngest son, Gilbor Camporazo, Junior has accomplished this sometime in 2008. He was assigned to Butuan Philippines Mission, somewhere in Mindanao island.

Thank You Lord for Saving Us

Last Sunday past two in the afternoon, we overheard short bang of firecracker and saw a black smoke at the left rear window of the public vehicle utility which we rode in. Then the driver stopped the car.

Moises Padilla Branch
In the whole morning, we made a visit to the Moises Padilla Branch of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in their annual branch conference. While other Churches are having their Palm Sunday.

We were 16 of us, leaders and auxiliary officers of La Carlota Philippines District to attend the said conference to strengthen the members there, to give instructions to the local leaders, and to edify everyone especially in their faith to the Church prophet, their faith to the Lord Jesus Christ and to inspire them on how nurture their testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel of the Lord and the importance of the atonement of Jesus Christ as the entire country will be celebrating the lenten season.

'Heart Will Swell - All Is Well'

LDS Hymn Book
Merry making with the little children, some of our relatives and neighbors ushered the coming of the new year 2012. Our second eldest daughter, Genevieve Aura started this annual activities for the kids for 8 years now. All these children were fed by the foods prepared by her. Some were given candies, prizes for the games and gifts like toys, dolls, match boxes cars, among others. In like manner, everybody in the house was also busy. We still managed to sleep for a few hours and then we woke up past 8:00 in the following morning and hurriedly prepared for our Sunday services.

Come, come ye Saints, no toil nor labor fear; But with joy wend your way

These were the first line in our Church hymn for our opening song to begin our Sacrament meeting this Sunday. We're happy and full of joy as we jointly sang with the rest of the members of the Church. We contemplated on our spiritual duty to our fellowmen as we serve our God and be nourished with His words, not only from the scriptures, but also from the teachings and messages of our leaders in a general conferences.
