Education develops skills for everyone to move forward, to attain his purpose and to realize his ambitions or dreams in life. Education cements a foundation for him to be a better Filipino who is "mindful of diversity that is grounded on acceptance, tolerance, and peace."

This is how Education Secretary Br. Armin Luistro would be addressing the graduates of 2015 in a statement issued recently.

"Saktong Buhay: Sa De-kalidad na Edukasyon Pinanday", this year's graduation theme, according to Luistro, should be inculcated. Thus, it couldn't be forgotten where the foundations of everyone's dreams is built upon and this is where education is needed for it is important. He stressed that education unlocks the doors of opportunities, makes possible in achieving a dignified and productive life for everybody.

There is always a challenge even trials ahead for life is filled with victories and defeats, triumphs for inspiration, losses for motivation to excellence, and gratefulness for those who give their help to those in need.

The experiences of those fallen and living heroes like the soldiers and teachers are success stories of perseverance brought  by education as provided for their families to have a dignity.

Therefore in this momentous day like Graduation Day is like a testament of their collective efforts as a product of their hard work and perseverance, a manifestation of competence, compassion and a zeal for excellence.

5 Factors for Effective Values Education and Transformation

The ills of society are properly resolved and are well acted upon for the better if not the best solutions when every member of the society is helping each other. Everyone is doing their moral, educational, temporal and spiritual duties and responsibilities.

The pupils of Cubay Elementary School seemed to be benefited with these opportunities to grow and to strengthen their well-being as a law-abiding citizen, as strong faith believer and as a well-educated or well-informed members of the community.

These efforts were facilitated by the concerned representative of the police department, the religious sector, and the health team of the division of La Carlota City, Department of Education.

Everything was facilitated and every pupil was assisted, fed, and motivated to be a better citizen of his community where he lives.

Last Seven Statements of Jesus To Live By

In my own unique way of interpreting them, I would like to share with you the last seven invaluable but memorable statements of Jesus while He was on the cross, humble enough for us to contemplate in this Good Friday:

1. "Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do." (Luke 23:34)

Those soldiers guarding Jesus who nailed on the cross were trying  to divide the raiment of Jesus. They tossed a dice to get possession of it. These kind of people were greedy, opportunists and possessive.

Greediness is one of the greatest sins of mankind.

2. "I say unto thee, Today thou shalt be with me in paradise.” (Luke 23:43)

One of the criminals who was with Jesus on the cross acknowledged Him as His savior. He begged Jesus to remember him when He's in paradise. God is well-pleased to those who are repentant and have faith in the Lord. It's repentance and faith that could save mankind.
