The ills of society are properly resolved and are well acted upon for the better if not the best solutions when every member of the society is helping each other. Everyone is doing their moral, educational, temporal and spiritual duties and responsibilities.

Pastor Gamboa speaking of 5 P's
The pupils of Cubay Elementary School seemed to be benefited with these opportunities to grow and to strengthen their well-being as a law-abiding citizen, as strong faith believer and as a well-educated or well-informed members of the community.

These efforts were facilitated by the concerned representative of the police department, the religious sector, and the health team of the division of La Carlota City, Department of Education.

Everything was facilitated and every pupil was assisted, fed, and motivated to be a better citizen of his community where he lives.

'I Want to be a Police Officer'

Shanley Jane Jaud, one of our 6 grandchildren, celebrates her 8th birthday today. Shanley Jane or "Bulaklak" as we fondly call her is the eldest daughter of Gynrey Camporazo-Jaud, our 4th daughter.

Yesterday, while she was busy distributing her handwritten birthday invitation card to her cousins, Bryan and Adgel, I called her up and asked her what is her birthday wish.

"I want my family to be safe, protected from any harm. And I want them to be happy," replied Bulaklak.

I Salute You, Sir Randy!

My respect and due recognition is directed to PO2 Randy de la Rez, a police officer of Cavite who was in Bayug, Iligan City, the hometown of her wife to pay a visit to her wife's parents  while typhoon Sendong was ravaging Iligan City and nearby Cagayan de Oro in the evening of December 16.

His presence of mind as an experienced rescuer in Cavite and his bravery as a police officer made him a man of the hour and as an instant hero unknowingly by saving his wife, his in-laws and 15 others from drowning from floodwater brought by typhoon Sendong.

He related his daring and lifesaving experience. He said that in the middle of the night while their place was experiencing a blackout for the typhoon destroyed the lines of electricity and the place was heavily flooding with water, he directed the family of his wife on what to do. One by one, he brought them to the top of the Mango tree through an improvise rescue rope. In a couple of minutes, he overheard shouts, asking for help somewhere.
