How To Check Your GSIS Records

If you are government employee or especially public school teacher, you can check your record in the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) in its website particularly the Service Record.

Service record is one of the major requirements for the teachers and the school heads who want to retire in the service upon reaching the retirement age of 60. This is a requirement that has made my retirement papers delay. I already reached the age of 65, a compulsory age for retirement.

The delay was due to the unreconciled service record I have had issued by the Division Office where I belong and with the GSIS service record. My retirement took effect last October 14, 2016 and the GSIS service record showed the January 1, 2014 as my latest service rendered.

There's a discrepancy therefore. So I was advised to tell our Division authorized personnel officer to send a scanned copy of my latest service record to the email address provided by the GSIS.

Checking GSIS Service Record Online

Before I go back to the GSIS office in our locality, I first visit the GSIS official website through its online membership records verification facility, eGSISMO. It's just a click away from my GSIS service record.

The site clearly states that:

"All active members of the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) may now access their membership records and statement of loan accounts in the internet via the Electronic GSIS Member Online (eGSISMO) facility.

"The new facility allows GSIS members to view their GSIS records in the convenience of their home or office without the need to go to a GSIS office. Soon, eGSISMO will open other features for viewing such as tentative computation of retirement and social insurance benefits, dividend payments, claim and loan records and pensioners' data.

"To register, members should initially sign up for their eGSISMO account by accessing http://egsismo.gsis.gov.ph/ and keying in their GSIS business partner (BP) number. BP numbers may be obtained from their office's agency authorized officer or electronic remittance file handler; any GSIS office; or GSIS Contact Center (847-4747). The system is accessible to members who are based in the Philippines."
