LIS Users: Where Do I Start?

All public school teachers in elementary and in secondary are required to enroll their pupils and students online via Learner Information System website.

Their work commenced when this school year 2013 - 2014 is about to end. Every school has been provided for its username and access code to the site in an orientation conducted by its respective Division Office Planning officer.

To this effect, Education Secretary issued an order for strict compliance that the data of every school learner in the country with their respective learner reference number (LRN) be encoded until March 31 (however, it is extended to April 30 as the deadline).

For lack of communication dissemination, insufficient orientation, or no communication or even defiance of the D.O. No. 4, s. 2014, the work hasn't been accomplished as expected. Worse, it has been interrupted by a series of internet glitches like internal server error, bad gateway, forbidden. Online server maintenance also delayed the encoding job of every teacher.

Division Planning Officer Francisca "Pakit" Nabor of La Carlota City reported that our Division is almost complete with just a delay of two elementary schools.

Extended Deadline

Deadline, April 30, comes. There are still schools which haven't completed their job and worse, there are some who are to finish it, but the server is inaccessible. The server is down.

Every teacher has no other choice to make, but to bear the inconvenience, to have more patience and to wait for the unexpected.
