Out of Bounty, Then What?

Out of the bounty, a person speaks and expresses his or her heart's content for gratefulness. And this is what I thought when late tonight, I came across with a blog written by a humble lady. She titled her blog as "Bountiful Basics".

Bountiful Basics Banner
Bountiful Basics - What's in a Name?

I wonder why it is called "bountiful basics" when in fact basics are only limited. Basic is defined or referred to as rudiment, fundamental, or the basis of anything in existence so to speak.

Anyway, as I read her blog. I noticed that she regarded the basic information as it is worth sharing for it is "valuable". I do agree with her for that.

Basic Information

However, based on what I've learned for 33 years, I was confident and I know it that the basic information a person should know and to consider himself as fully educated, are three things, such as:

1. Where did he come from?
2. Why is he here on earth?
3. Where does he go after his life?

As I went over her blog and read her "My Cheese Keeps Moving", she cited a scripture that says, "the earth is full, and there is enough and to spare" (D&C 104:17, LDS scripture) This has made me believed her that out of the bounty which the earth provides, everyone could subsist and live abundantly and sufficiently. And eventually he or she could keep some of it for rainy days.

The Author
Writing Prowess

Anyway this lady as I've known her in Facebook is Edellen Nonescan Reyes. She started her first blog sometime in January 2012.

She had the talent to write. She could wield her pen to hone her writing prowess. Before she formally wrote a blog, she had been writing online as a ghostwriter at oDesk. A spark of inspiration "keeps her cheese moving" when her grandfather gave her a stock certificate which later she sold and earned a hefty sum of money. Then she wanted to share that successful money making she learned by experience. She's confident then that  there is money in stock market exchange. She's an authority on investment management.

Her blog banner simply states "Bountiful Basics - simple solutions for a changing world." Do you agree with it? Find it out by visiting Bountiful Basics.

Sharing Ideas Through Blog

To blog is anyone's privilege to share his thoughts, his ideas, his experiences in writing for others to know, to appreciate, to praise or even to be criticized by his readers or followers.

Randomthoughts blog
There's no such thing as a perfect blog, even the mechanics of grammar is not properly observed as long as the ideas, the thoughts are expressed. But quality blog has an advantage.

It could also be a venue for sharing mementos, photos, and anything of great value for posterity, for souvenir.

Like an ordinary writing, to blog is to inform, to entertain and to educate.

Does it take a lot of effort, time or anything to write a blog? Consider the following situation.

Writing in 5 Practical Ways

My passion of writing was developed in 1964. That was 48 years ago when I was a grade 4 pupil. My first writing piece was in the form of poetry for I was inspired by a lady who was our neighbor. I used to this form of writing exposition for I loved reading poem vocally and as I was reading it I loved hearing myself  as if it was a music to my ear.

My Handy Friend
My Handy Friend
My second writing piece was about fiction. What I've read or heard from the radio I composed a short story for it and mailed to Hiligaynon, a local dialect comic magazine, which was common among the household in our place. This was the magazine that had developed my reading skill till I used to reading English books and our school textbooks too.

When I mailed my write-ups to this magazine and, they're published. I was surprised when I received a mail with money order inside as payment of my published article for I thought it was free. I didn't bother publishing more of my articles for some reasons.

However, I may consider my formal writing in 1991 in the local newspaper here in our place as stringer and later as a regular columnist.

Four Ways To Make a Valid Blog Comment

Writing a blog comment needs a sense of well-being, a sense of maturity and responsibility. Thus it should be a "valid" one which could be appealing to the blog's owner/writer and inspiring to the readers/visitors of the said blog as well. Further it would reflect the genuineness and the honesty of the one doing it in which the online advertisers are attracted to it.

Blogging comment
What a comment should be? How does it become "valid"?

There should a need to write the "valid" comment, especially if the blog is to be monetized or make money online, for search engine rank, for a promotion of a certain product or services, among others.

Without your knowledge, the prospective online advertisers or the hosting agency for such ads is browsing them and taking into account, not only the quality of blog, but also the comments left by the readers of that blog.

My Desire To Start A Blog

My desire to write and start a blog which I titled it as RandomThoughts! was a challenge of my writing skills when Negros Bloggers President H. James Toga added me to Negros Bloggers closed group in Facebook, wherein good writers, good bloggers chatted regularly, especially at night.

My two blogs Every time I opened my computer to browse the Internet I directly signed in to my Facebook account and visited Negros Bloggers Page. There I saw several links of their blogs, which out of my curiosity, I read them all. Until I became acquainted with the members of NB and befriended with them. And I sensed my belongingness with this group which is composed of students, government employees, freelance writers, businessmen, realtors, legal luminaries, news reporters. They were the pioneers of NB as the core group.

As I regularly followed up their blogs, I said to myself, "This is a challenge of my writing prowess to start a blog of my own. But of course not to compete with them for they'd different fields of expertise and mine is different too. Therefore, doing what I could muster to start a blog is the answer. I started with a unique title, with a controlled contents of various topics which I believe could get the interest of my readers.

Gil Camporazo's RandomThoughts First Blogversary!

RandomThoughts First Blogversary
It was 3rd of February 2011 when this RandomThoughts! was born.

Finding faults! was the first blog I wrote as a reaction to Juana Change's video satirically "belittling President Aquino's private life."

The Book of Matthew (Matthew 7:1-5) in the Bible is crystal clear why we shouldn't find other's faults, that's the foundation of my premise of support.

One hundred fifty-six articles so far had been written by me and posted them here till RT reaches its first anniversary in this month of February 2012.

As of this writing, 29,537 visitors registered in RandomThought's counter.

At its inception, RandomThoughts' started with an Alexa rank of 15,367,892 till it improved to 2,264,171. And eventually it got its own domain through an invaluable help from C5 Ghosty Writery, a fellow blogger worldwide in December 14,2011. Now its present Alexa Rank is 612,537 with pagerank 1 in Google, which it regains after losing it when RT got its own independent domain. Thus, it took one month and 22 days to retake its pagerank of 1 on February 6, 2012.

Biospectator, a Value-Rich Blog

Biospectator is a blogging site that simply shares ideas about having a better perspective and value of life.

Gilbor Junior
I was surprised to know that Biospectator was linked to my FB account. I clicked it and came to know that it was a newly created blog by our youngest son, Gilbor Junior, 25.

I never thought that he would develop a passion for writing. I know that he is a versatile fellow with a lot of talents to show. But writing is not very obvious. Though he knows that I'm a writer, a journalist, a columnist, now a blogger, but he doesn't manifest of getting to writing seriously.

"Good Results? Think First!" was his first written article in Biospectator. He expresses his thoughts on what  determines the future practically. Thus, he points out, "Shaping up ourselves today plays a vital role for our future."

'To See Is To Believe'

I remember when I was a kid, I used an improvised petroleum lamp in my reading session at night. I kept on using it since I was a grade one until I finished my high school. It was almost 10 years of using petroleum lamp for my study and working my homework at night.

As I was used to reading at such light coming from the lamp, I was not aware that my eyes would be affected. I only discovered later when I found a hard time in deciphering some of my small handwriting from my notes. First I never mind it. I thought that it was just a poor lighting condition of the lamp I used. But my poor vision persisted. So I told my parents about it. Since we were poor, my eye malady was not well attended to. Not until I finished college, got a job and got married that I had my own prescribed eye glasses.

My Blog Receives An Award and a Token as a 'Labor of Love'

Gil Camporazo holds a plow as a token from the Negros Bloggers in recognizing him as one of the best bloggers in the Visayas in 2011
Gil Camporazo holds a token as the best blogger.
The "labor of Love" is symbolized by a plow which is the token I received from Negros Bloggers to recognize me as one of the best bloggers in the Visayas in this year 2011.  NB/NDB writer Gil Severino, the program emcee puts it as a "labor of love" and it is very true indeed for my name so suggests it is an acrostic of God Is Love.

The awards I received were the "Best Blog in Culture and Arts" for Tumandok and "Best Blog in Lifestyles" for RandomThoughts!. These were given by the prestigious award-giving body, The Philippine Blog Awards Inc. established in 2007 which aims "to recognize the best in the Filipino Blogging Community."

Tumandok, An Ilonggo Blog to watch!

Murogmon logo
MurogmonTumandok Administrator
If you were looking for best hoverboard online store, then hoverboardex will be the best one you should try and you will more than satisfied.

Tumandok is a name given to the newest blog of this writer. It came to being late Saturday night to realize a suggestion of some Negros bloggers who wanted to come up with a blog for an Ilonggo version. Though it seems weird for it would have a very limited readership, but it is worth of doing it anyway

In fact, this kind of blog, which principally will be using the Ilonggo dialect, has already been reserved in my subconscious mind several years ago, waiting for an appropriate time to be hatched and it's by coincidence that this group of bloggers had discussed and interpolated about it.
