La Carlota Mayor Luis J. Jalandoni III said in a statement as read by Ismael Salvacion, city executive assistant before the 238 successful completers of TESDA series of training on Wellness Massage, Housekeeping, Beauty Care Services (Nail Care), and Food and Beverage Services:

"To empower people through skills development is to give them the right to help themselves.

"This occasion is one of the wonderful achievements earned through the partnership by the city government, the local DepEd - Alternative Learning System program and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority. Today more than 200 trainees completed the TESDA National Certificate training courses in Food and Beverage Services, Housekeeping, Wellness & Massage (Hilot) and Beauty Care Services.

"These graduates will constitute our skilled labor force in the city as we strive to curb the high unemployment rate in our community. The trainees are now capable to earn a living for their family. Wit theTESDA National Certificate, they are now qualified to work abroad and have equal footing with other competitors in the international labor market.

Mam Portia M. Mallorca confirming and approving the completers
"The continuing program of the TESDA and the consistent support from the city government and the DepEd will usher more opportunities to create jobs, to build a strong family and government. The foundation is already laid before you. You must put on the right motivation and attitude to build up your career.

"Congratulations to the graduates and to all partner agencies!"

Other speakers who inspired the completers were Demie Honrado and Annabelle Q. Bermudo, Sangguniang Panlalawigan Member, ABC President. Pastor Muriel D. Canete, resident pastor of Nagasi Baptist Church offered the prayer. City Councilor Jose Luis Jalandoni, Chairman on Education and Mrs. Cristine B. Jalandoni, wife of City Treasurer Jericho Jalandoni graced the momentous joint program of TESDA completers.

  3. TESDA helps transform thousands of lives through these kinds of training. They even have free online courses which includes web development, which by the way is very in demand these days. With the help of TESDA, anyone with grit and determination to improve himself, can change the course of his/her life to something better. - Around Pilipinas

  6. TESDA is really helpful especially for those who can't afford to go to college, it helps people find a job/career. Some of my neighbors in the Philippines took TESDA and some of them are even working abroad.
