Purging Government Offices of Illegal Drug Users

Would it be possible? That is the big question.

The recent news seems to be threatening for all the employees of the government especially those who are positive for illegal use of drugs. They would be outright dismissed from their job when found positive for illegal drug.

The Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) Regulation 2 Series of 2017 enforces the dismissal of all public servants if they're found positive of illegal drugs after the conduct of a drug test as conducted by their respective agencies.

DOB chairman Benjamin Reyes qualified that this DDB new regulation conforms with the Civil Service Commission that the illegal use of drugs of an employee is tantamount to grave misconduct which is punishable by dismissal at first offense.

This DDB new regulation will take effect on March 24. All government officials and employees would have to suffer the consequence of firing them out from the service if they're found positive of illegal drugs.

This anti-drug measure would make possible the promotion of a National Drug-Free Workplace Program of the government. This could be now the country's  long-awaited dream for a drug-free society. that is from the community, and from the offices. The people would also be hoping that this would be implemented in the private offices as well.
