It is still fresh on my mind when Mrs. Celedonia Sia, the new school principal of Balabag Elementary School invited us to her school at the recognition program and closing exercises. Sir Avelino Santillan, ALS supervisor was the speaker for the closing exercises and I was in the recognition program as a newly promoted school principal assigned to Salamanca Elementary School.
The school looked bare and the enrollment kept on striving to increase. When I got back to the said school as the new school principal to replace Sir Rolando Heria who was transferred to Nagasi Elementary School, I notice the school needed to continue its physical improvement as already started by Sir Heria. The academic performance of the school was within the Department of Education (DepEd) standard.
For nearly three years, the school made its way to a better pupils' academic performance. The school received the recognition as one of the schools for the Seal of Excellence Award with cash of Twenty Thousand Pesos (Php20,000.00) for two consecutive years, SY 2014 - 2015 and SY 2015 - 2016.
Parents were too supportive of the school projects and programs. Another honor received by the school, the selective parents bagged the championship of Mother's Nutri Quiz conducted by the Division of La Carlota City for two consecutive years too.
The school has maintained its physical facilities from ground maintenance to classroom minor repair through the support of Punong Barangay Joel E. Rumbines. The support of PTA officers like President Mrs. Mary Jane Ramo (SY 2014 - 2015, SY 2015 - 2016) and President Sixto Pancho, Jr. (SY 2016 - 2017) was among the laudable efforts too that transformed Balabag Elementary School of what it is today before I leave.

My first year as I assumed the office of the new school principal of Balabag ES:
After my 2 years and 10 months in service as school principal:
The success which the school attained is attributable too the concerted efforts of the teaching force led by Miss Ma. Juvy V. Tadlan in 2014 till 2015 and Mr. Raffy P. Medes in 2016 to date.
Unforgettable Farewell Party
I don't have any option to stay put in the service for I have already reached the compulsory age of retirement. I turned 65 on October 13, 2016. What I am going to do is packed up and go home for good.
Parents, teachers and the pupils had showered me a simple birthday and farewell party. Sir Melgar Coronel, the foster Supervisor of the school graced the affair together with Punong Barangay Joel E. Rumbines.
How the pupils have greeted me and expressed their gratefulness to me through the following short video created by Mam Mahal H. Demabildo:
I went home with the thoughts that keep on ringing on my mind:
