This is a sort of expressing their appreciation for the honor she has achieved in which poverty is not the barrier for her to achieving such prestigious and academic excellence in the field of education.

Jenamie gives an honor to her Alma Mater, Balabag Elementary School as Cum Laude in the recent graduation rites of La Carlota City College, class 2016.

She graduated in Balabag Elementary School in the SY 2003-2004 and finished secondary education in DHSBNHS, La Carlota City in the SY 2007-2008. She was raised by a less fortunate family whose head of the family is a farmer. She's one of the 9 children of Jerry and Josefa Antonio.

In commencement exercises of La Carlota City College, she was conferred upon her the degree of Bachelor in Elementary Education major in General Education as cum laude for the S.Y. 2015-2016 and also was recognized as the best student intern.

Why Education?

Actually, education was my second option. I chose it over the first one which was accountancy because I went to college late, at the age of 20 already. There were realizations made to take this course and I learned to love it as the time goes by. It is really good to touch the lives of many individuals, especially young ones.

"I wasn't able to go to college right after high school because I thought my parents couldn't afford to send me amidst the poverty,"  she told.

Philosophy in Life

"Always be committed to excellence and  in doing so, commit everything to the Lord and you will be successful," is her philosophy in life.

Your determination to be on top of everything in the name of the Lord is the attitude that has made you of what you are. Your parents, your family, your siblings, your relatives are very proud of you. And we're indeed very proud of you, too, Jenamie.
