Sophie's Blessings

It is the first Sunday of February, in our Church, we observe it as the Fast and Testimony Sunday. Every member takes time to share his testimony on the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the sonship and divinity of Jesus Christ, and the importance of the restoration of Jesus Christ's Church here on earth.

Naming and blessing of the child, especially a newly born child is also a part of this sacrament meeting we have. This is one of the ordinances of the Church, which the parents have the duties and the responsibilities to perform this. And our new granddaughter who was bonr on January 10, 2013 was one of those who have been named and blessed.

Giving a Name

Gilbor D. Camporazo, Jr., our youngest son, with his Priesthood authority he holds, named his niece as Sophie Ashley Lory Camporazo Jaud which will be known all throughout the Church and be recorded in the Church archive.

Sophie is the 3rd daughter of our daughter Gynrey and husband Stephen O. Jaud. Sophie's siblings are Shanley Jane, 8, and Stephanie Gyn, 6.

Blessings

Sophie was blessed that Lord's wisdom may be upon her to make her intelligent, obedient to the Lord's commandments. She was also blessed to be an effective lady missionary when she grows up in spreading and proclaiming the gospel of the Lord and converting more souls back to the fold of our Heavenly Father. She was also blessed that she may have the good health throughout her life to bear and resist all forms of trials and challenges that may come to her life so that she may come up conqueror against the cunning of the devil.

Sophie's blessings strengthen our faith with the Lord for she is one of those spirit children of the Lord, who is well taken care of while she is in her infant or formative years.

Sophie's parents are working together with the Lord in rearing her up according to the Lord's will, nurture and admonition. They want her to be an example of those unbelievers.

Happiness of Parents

The happiness that the parents of Sophie had is indescribable just like what I had experienced before when I named and blessed all of my six children. It is the greatest privilege I have had by the virtue and authority of the Priesthood of God I hold. I even have spiritual privilege to baptize all of them when they reach the age of accountability.

I have been serving the Lord for almost 33 years since I was converted to this Church in 1980. I never find any doubt that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true. I know that it is the Holy Ghost that taught me and converted me to this Church.

Volition and Desire

I want you to know that it is our own volition and desire why we join with this Church. Personally it took me 4 years to join with this Church and through my example, the rest of my family members followed. I know it is the Lord's will that it took me that long. Now we are all member. We have the testimony that our family could be together forever as long as we are true and faithful, obedient and endure to the end.
