Ilonggo Writer, Palanca Literature Hall of Fame


Congratulations to Peter Solis Nery who was named as Hall of Fame Awardee for 2012 Don Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards for Literature at the Rigodon Hall of the Peninsula Hotel in Makati the other day.

In 1995, the Palanca Hall of Fame Awards was introduced to honor Palanca awardees who have already amassed or won five first places in the regular writing categories.

Peter has satisfied this criteria. His entry writing piece in poetry entitled, "Punctuation," Poetry for Children was the 5th first prize winning in 5 separate years.

By profession, Peter is a nurse working abroad, but he always nurtures his passion in writing poems, short stories, plays, and even doing  film making. Anyone could be like Peter for what you need is perfect essay writing service.

This Ilonggo literary Icon will be having his live interview at Sikat Ka Iloilo on Tuesday, Sept. 4, 6:00 a.m. to promote his first full-length movie "Gugma sa Panahon sang Bakunawa" which will be shown on Sept. 5, 4pm/6pm at SM Cinema 3. He will also launch his book at Al Dente, Sept. 4, 2pm.

His first prize winning works are as follows: 2012—“Punctuation,” Poetry for Children; 2011 – “Donato Bugtot,” Short Story – Hiligaynon; 2008— “The Passion of Jovita Fuentes,” Full-length Play; 2007—“Candido,” – Short Story – Hiligaynon; and 1998—“Lirio,” Short Story – Hiligaynon.
