A high school principal of Bantayan, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental, PH while watching a television show inside his house, was shot dead by a lone gunman, wearing bonnet, the local news said.
The victim was identified as Lucas Saban. He was killed shortly after the hold upper entered his house. The intruder asked him where his money was kept and shot him right away without giving him the chance to reply. The robber just quietly went away.
What a sad fate this school principal met!
This kind of incident may happen anytime, especially when everyone is least expecting it.
Why are robbery-holdups so rampant nowadays? Especially in the past months, the Kabankalan residents had noticed that their city has been reported with a series of robberies and killings. There were also robbery-holdup of a sugar trader, raids on drug pushers' houses, and other crimes.
Are we going to attribute this criminality to the "dire economic situation" of the country PH?
What is the economic status of our country? Or these could also be traced with the loose security of the concerned city? Or with the unconcerned attitude of the residents there?
Well, there are a lots of influencing factors responsible for the commission of a crime, of a robbery, of a holdup, among others.
A solution to this is to always be on the alert and be vigilant, and of course, be willing to help and assist the victim for any eventuality!
No word yet from the city of Kabankalan as to the measures of curbing this kind of criminality. Nor a word from the police of the said city.
But I'm sure with this kind of incidence and some crimes committed, the city is already on the alert and vigilant.
Kabankalan City is a progressive city in the south of Negros Occidental. It is where the world renowned Sinulog festival is celebrated every year, and where a large volume of tourists all over the world is visiting the place and enjoying the merrymaking fun.
