Negros Bloggers: 'Gatekeepers of Negrense Heritage'

Negros Bloggers is a community of  bloggers from the island of Negros, Philippines. This is an avenue of oneness among bloggers who generate information in and around Negros. Its url: http://www.negrosbloggers.com, "the blogging netizens of the island of Negros Occidental, Philippines."

A handful of Negrense online journalists like Mommy Ruby, Glady, and the author of Nshima Servings conceptualized this blog.

It is in its 2nd year anniversary this 2011. Lloyd Tronco of Talonggo, a resource speaker in Visayas Bloggers Summit on November 27, 2010 and tackled the topic: "Why Visayans Should Blog", greeted Negros Bloggers in his blog in a subtitle, "Online Journalists of the Future are the Gatekeepers of Negrense Heritage". He's confident that Negros bloggers are committed to generate information through digital media for the future generations not only of the proceedings of the day but in retrospection of Negros ancient history which haven't yet digitally documented.

He expects that this group is not only bloggers in real sense, but it will be an aggrupation of "real online" journalists with a vision to supply the web with a "rich Negrense heritage."

They are "netizens", who are "interacting with others in the internet", whom the future generations are grateful for their works, write-ups.

Their common goal is to give the world a clearer picture of "Who is the Negrense", "What is Negros?" to them, and "What greater role does Negros to play in the nation? In the world?"

In the simplest term, they are simply proud of themselves as Negrense as "the gatekeepers of Negrense heritage" as Lloyd Tronco puts it!
