On Commuting
For years I have been commuting mostly thru public utility jeepneys from home to office and vise versa. Commuting gives me ample time to think at times of things past and things I look forward to. It likewise affords me time to think of things to do as soon as I reach my office or things to do when I get back home after work.
Few times however, I simply close my eyes, relax and enjoy the ride while listening to the sound of the vehicles, the honks and the noise of some group of passengers conversing to each other with their voices over the roaring sound of the dilapidated jeepney machine. Sometimes it is entertaining to listen to them and the fun they have about what they are conversing but, mostly of course, you know what I mean – annoying.
Nevertheless, there are a few things I observed in my Monday thru Friday thirty minute or so road traversing of which I am overwhelmingly concerned.
