2014 FAMILY OUTING AT LAS OLAS , BEACH, San Enrique, Negros Occidental, PH kicks off, up, up and away. This is our yearly tradition to spend together as a family, edifying our family relationship in one-day bonding of various activities, highlighted with "kainang pampamilya" (eating together as one family) for time and even in eternity so to speak at the onset of every new year.
Joining us in this New Year tradition of beach excursion was our youngest son, Gilbor Jr. who is one-year married and his wife Ma. Carissa Trenuela. As usual our eldest daughter, Dona Greece, her lone daughter, Adgel, and her husband, Almon Tolones were with us. Toto Bryan, our adopted grandson and our youngest daughter, Geeree kept their camaraderie and cooperation as ever in this memorable beginning day of the new year.
Past 12 noon, our third eldest daughter, Gynrey (An An) together with her three kids, Bulaklak, Panyang, and 1-year old daughter, Inday Sophie and her hubby, Stephen came, then we started eating our first lunch for 2014.
Though we regret to feel that our two children were not with us this year, but yet we were still happy for we know it is the God's will why they have to stay away from us quite sometime.
I am referring to our eldest son, Dondon (Greg) who is presently living with his wife in Mindanao and our 2nd eldest daughter, Gingging (Genevieve Aura) who is working abroad as cook right now.
Picture-taking for posterity was main activity we had had this day. Then the salo-salo (eating together as a family) has strengthened everyone that together we eat, we laugh, we pray and enjoy as a family in a special day of New Year.
Our 5 grandchildren did enjoy to the max, playing in the beach. In particular, Inday Sophie who is going to turn 1 year old this January 10, has played in the beach for the first time. She enjoyed splashing to the sea water along the seashore unaided. Inday Sophie is beginning to master her walking.
Our eldest daughter, Dona and Almon, her hubby spent their best time for a picture-taking. They posed at the welcome entrance wall of the beach, at the improvised wooden bridging leading to the cottages area.
An An was also preoccupied taking picture of her youngest daughter first time memories in the beach. My wife and I kept on monitoring them and how happy we were seeing them enjoying their excursion.
Indescribable Togetherness
I could see in the eyes of my wife on how she felt the value of this yearly tradition of a family outing, welcoming the new year with a family getting together in a peaceful, tranquil place of nature like Las Olas Beach.
That feeling of happiness was magnified as we posed together as a caring, loving couple at the entrance of the beach for several poses, also mingling with our grandchildren, chatting with our grown-up and familied children.
The satisfaction is too strong. The happiness couldn't be described in one or two words. This is what we got as We advocate the eternal principle of family could be together forever. In this simple way, at least we did our part, our job making our family strong though there are times that we are extremely challenged but the Lord has never forsaken us. He always provides the way for us to overcome them because of our unwavering faith.
The night before, I saw how busy was my wife and she's helped by our daughter-in-law preparing and cooking for our foods in this outing. our eldest daughter was also busy preparing of the foods to share in morning excursion to the beach.
Selected lively sound for easy listening and entertaining downloaded from the free sites in the web added more enjoyment to our stay in the beach. Our youngest son provided the music with his cinematic sound system he brought along with him and played it with the music which everybody has enjoyed listening and even dancing to the beat with gusto.
It's a Day
All of us was happy, contented and enjoyed the day of family outing. Everybody was all accounted for. All of us was hauled by a motorized tricycle owned and manned by Almon. The kids, our grandchildren are still longing for more activities like this one within the year. Their request is granted.
Our family outing as a healthy and bonding tradition will keep on moving on as long as we keep our trust and faith to the Lord the Almighty and Provider of all we need.
God bless and HAPPY NEW YEAR!
